A successful direct mail campaign has 5 basic elements:

  1. Targeted mailing list: mail to the mostly likely buyer of your product or service  
  2. Good design: photo or graphic that draws in the recipient
  3. The message: Short compelling message
  4. Call-to-action: What's the benefit to the recipient? Why should they contact you? (discount etc...)
  5. Response method: Phone, email and/or landing page? What is best for your mailing?
